Check out our newest series class! Aerial Yoga FUNdamentals Series starts 3/2/17 and meets Thursday mornings at 10am for 8 consecutive weeks. Cost for the 8 week series is $180. Click here to reserve your spot. Aerial Yoga classes are unlike any of our other aerial classes! Aerial Yoga is a modern style of yoga that incorporates a low-hanging soft fabric hammock to explore alignment, release chronic tension, hang around upside down, and have fun! It’s appropriate for anyone including beginners with no yoga experience. For experienced yogis, aerial yoga will add a new dimension to complement your existing practice on the ground. For those with little or no yoga experience, aerial yoga is a great place to start. Every class includes decompression, supported inversions, core and upper body strengthening, deep relaxation, and fun! As an ADHD twenty-something who is self-described as an athletic person I need constant motivation to look good naked. The trainers at the gym were no longer cutting it. With a Pro-Ballroom background neither was any Jazzercize or Barre class. A student in my ballroom studio told me about Aerial Fit, a space for people who love to fly, be in shape, and hang on 60ft long sheets of fabric. So as one would suspect, I signed up for an Intro Series. The first day I walked in and made the realization, I’m not the Pro anymore. I am a beginner again. Over the next 10 weeks I learned more than just how to hang from fabric, I learned a lot about myself. That first day can be as exciting as it is humbling. The teacher, a soft spoken and charming young red-head by the name of Anastasia, assured me that my gut wrenching fear of falling was, well, valid and would ultimately be a useful tool. We are adding lots of new classes starting September 1, 2016! Look for new ground classes including tumbling and contortion, as well as new aerial class levels including Rope 2 and Slings 2. We’ve added a weekly Partner Aerial class! We’re so excited for all of these new offerings. Some of our prices are also changing in September. Because we never imagined how many classes our addicted unlimited students would be taking, we’ve run into the need to restructure our unlimited offerings so that we can offer new programs and still keep class sizes small.
