Human Pyramids with Marta Brown This fun and empowering class is a great introduction to standing acrobatics. We’ll learn the most efficient ways to use our body to create strong shapes and support each other’s weight. We’ll start the class by working on some classic pyramids then expand to more creative shapes as we feel more confident. No previous experience is necessary. All are welcome, so bring a friend! You’ve been working hard to fly through the air with the greatest of ease, but if you really want to reach new heights, cross training is your best friend. In these two classes we’ll work on ground based skills that will directly translate to your aerial technique We’ll also explore graceful floor transitions to add to your aerial act and balance out all that pulling with some pushing. Cyr Wheel with Marta Brown

The Cyr wheel is a captivating circus apparatus consisting of a single metal circle. Mesmerizing to watch and fun to do, it requires no previous acrobatic experience. This class is open to all levels. We’ll be working on different manipulations and the basic step, commonly known as the waltz. Beginners will learn to control the wheel and drills to practice on their own. Students with previous experience will be challenged with new variations, building on their technique. Come join in the spinning fun! Note: Please wear sneakers to class. Prerequisits: *Height is the only limitiing factor. Must be tall enough for the smallest wheel. Acro Mini Intensive with Marta Brown

Are you acro-curious? Ready to tackle your ground based circus game? Want to be sore in new places? This 2 weekend intensive is for you! Our main focus will be on partner acrobatics, reviewing and expanding on material presented in previous workshops. We will also supplement our acro training with tumbling and handstand technique, strength training, and flexibility. It is called an intensive for a reason. You can expect to be digging deep and working hard each class, but we’ll also have some fun! Note: These classes are designed to be taken as a series. Each class will build off of the previous classes. Prerequisites: ages 12+, -Kick to handstand & 5 sec hold against wall, -10 box jumps (knee height), – 30sec plank hold on hands (not elbows), – Previously taken at least 3 classes (in any combination) in tumbling, partner acro, or handstands.
