Member Classes – Skills Classes and More

For dedicated learners, these classes build technique, skills, choreography, and more on the aerial apparatuses.”

Description:

Level 1-4 classes are for those students who are comfortable with the basics of an apparatus and ready to learn more. These classes build on each other so the more you come the more you will learn. Each skill level requires an Aerial Fit Advancement Test, so if you’d like to sign up for a Level 1/2, 2, 3, or higher class be sure to check in with us first. If interested, Level 2 students may begin building their own choreography and with permission of your instructor join our choreography classes and student showcases.

Duration:

Level 1/2 is your bridge from basic skills into higher level classes, and entry into these classes requires a solid foundation of beginner skills. From there, Level 2 is a great place to be and we cover a lot of material in this level. Depending on your interest, this may be your home. Students that are interested in learning more may spend many months to years in Level 2. Level 3 is where we dive deep into strength-based moves, and Level 4 requires and builds deep understanding of your own body and the apparatus. Our typical Level 3 and 4 students have been practicing for many years. Read more about our levels here.

Classes:

All spade (member) classes on the schedule are skill-based classes. Be sure to check the level of the class you are signing up for, and email hang@aerialfit.com with any questions. Click each class for a description.

Aerial Fit Class Levels

Our Aerial Skills classes are organized on a leveling system. Each student will progress at a different pace through our levels, however, everybody starts as a beginner if they have not taken aerial skills classes before. Prior gymnastic, dance, rock-climbing, and related experience can be helpful if you’d like to progress quickly, but it does not qualify anyone to skip beginner level classes. Those classes are where you lean techniques specific to the aerial apparatuses.

We do enforce advancement tests for those with the desire and ability to move up in levels. If you are transferring or visiting from another school and would like to figure out which class to enter, please email us to discuss setting up a private lesson where we can assess and place you in the right level in our system. Everyone is welcome in our beginner classes, and we can assess you there as well.
